I hate calling it a diet, because I don’t feel like I’m dieting. I feel like I’m just changing my way of eating. Anyways,… it has officially been 1 week since I have cut out meat and dairy.
I am down 6 lbs in just 1 week!!
So far, I am loving this way of eating. I don’t feel like I’m depriving myself of anything because I’m eating good foods! What I love is that you don’t have to focus on calorie counting or how many carbs you are eating. You eat till your satisfied/full.
This past weekend we got breakfast burritos from this little Mexican place down the street and I would of normally got a chorizo, eggs, bean and cheese burrito, but instead I got a potato, beans & pico de gallo. It was so delicious! And I felt good about myself that I didn’t give in. I am looking forward to seeing my progress after 1 month.
One of the things I recommend for anyone just starting out is to watch “Forks Over Knives” documentary on Netflix. I would also recommend reading the book “The Starch Solution” by Dr. McDougall. Those two things have helped me open my eyes and really jump start my new journey.
